played by Jean Hagen in Singin' in the Rain
Some characters may only have one note but when it’s a high-pitched, hilarious note like Lina Lamont’s, it’s all you need.  She storms through her scenes like a pixie bulldozer, typifying everything that can be lampooned in a Hollywood actress.  She’s vain, clueless and most of all, irresistible.  (She told me so herself).
